Smoother, Brighter Skin: Microneedling & Chemical Peels
Microneedling and medical-grade chemical peels at Rural Authentic Wellness are designed to smooth texture, fade spots, and restore your natural glow.
WHY THESE TREATMENTS
Creams can only reach so far
Acne scars, rough texture, brown spots, and fine lines rarely budge with creams alone. Microneedling and chemical peels work beneath the surface to rebuild collagen and resurface dull, uneven skin, so your results last longer than anything from a bottle.

Microneedling
What microneedling does for your skin
Microneedling creates hundreds of tiny channels in the surface of your skin. Your body reads those micro-injuries as a signal to repair, then responds by producing fresh collagen and elastin, the two proteins that keep skin firm and smooth. This process, also known as collagen induction therapy, is what makes the treatment so effective for texture and scarring.
The payoff builds over weeks, not minutes. As new collagen forms, acne scars soften, pores look smaller, and a dull, uneven surface starts to even out. Most people see a healthy glow after a single session, with deeper results stacking over a series.

YOUR OPTIONS
Two ways to do microneedling
The right one depends on how much correction you are after.
Basic Microneedling
$269
A strong first step for overall texture and glow. Plan for a day or two of recovery, since skin can look mildly red afterward. We apply a numbing cream first to keep you comfortable.
- Three sessions, 30 to 45 days apart, then quarterly maintenance
- Numbing cream included for comfort
- Add the neck for $75
Revive Microneedling with PRP
$450
Microneedling paired with platelet-rich plasma (PRP) drawn from your own blood to amplify collagen and support healing. Our go-to for acne scars, deeper lines, and real regeneration, not just a quick refresh.
- Three sessions, about a month apart
- Downtime around one day; skip makeup for 24 hours
- Results in 48 hours, improving for 6 to 8 weeks
- Add the neck for $75

CHEMICAL PEELS
What a chemical peel can treat
A chemical peel uses a medical-grade solution to lift away damaged surface cells so smoother, brighter skin can surface. Peels are not only about anti-aging. We use them to soften fine lines and sun damage, fade age spots and melasma, calm certain types of acne, and improve overall tone. The American Academy of Dermatology notes that chemical peels also treat skin conditions such as acne and discoloration, not just signs of aging.

Which treatment is right for you?
Texture and scarring
If your main concern is texture, scarring, or building firmness over time, start with microneedling.
Brightness and tone
If you are after brightness, even tone, or fading spots and melasma, a peel may get you there faster.
Want both
The combination treatment covers texture and tone in a single appointment.
When acne is still active rather than scarred, an acne consultation is the smarter first stop, so we treat the cause before resurfacing. For lines caused by movement, such as crow's feet or frown lines, anti-wrinkle injections work well alongside resurfacing.

Frequently asked questions
1. Does microneedling hurt?
We apply a numbing cream before every microneedling session, so most clients feel pressure and vibration rather than pain. Some redness afterward is normal and fades within a day or two.
2. How many sessions will I need?
For both Basic and Revive Microneedling, we recommend three sessions spaced about a month apart, then occasional maintenance. Chemical peel frequency depends on your skin and goals, which we will cover at your visit.
3. What is the difference between a chemical peel and microneedling?
A peel resurfaces by removing damaged surface cells, which is great for tone, brightness, and pigment. Microneedling works deeper to rebuild collagen, which is better for texture, scarring, and firmness. Many people benefit from both.
4. Can these treatments be done somewhere other than my face?
Yes. Microneedling can be added to the neck for $75, and our VI Body Peel treats the chest, back, hands, neck, and other areas.
5. Do I have to be a clinic member to book?
No. Our aesthetic services are open to everyone. MedSpa memberships are optional and simply add monthly perks and savings if you visit regularly.
6. Where are you located?
Our MedSpa is in Olivia, MN, and we welcome clients from Willmar, Hutchinson, New Ulm, Redwood Falls, Renville, Montevideo, and the surrounding communities.
